The Beginning of a New Layer
Welcome to the June issue of NBW News, our monthly member publication for The Spice Rack.
This space brings together community updates, neurodivergent education, research highlights, founder notes, event reminders, resource spotlights, monthly reflections, and the larger conversations shaping the work of Neurospicy Black Women.
June is an important month because NBW is moving into a new phase. What started as a community space has grown into something larger: a platform for connection, education, visibility, resources, events, partnerships, and culturally aware support for neurodivergent Black women.
The Facebook group is still part of the ecosystem, but it is no longer the whole ecosystem. The Spice Rack gives us a more organized space to build beyond the feed.
Founder's Note
This month feels like a turning point for NBW. For a long time, so much of the work has lived inside posts, group chats, Zoom rooms, reminders, updates, flyers, event threads, and the constant "where did I put that?" energy that comes with building a real community in real time.
The Spice Rack was created to give members deeper access to the things that should not disappear in the scroll: resources, notes, replays, worksheets, updates, event follow-up, community reminders, merch perks, and support tools that can actually be found again when they are needed.
This is still community. It is just community with more infrastructure.
Thank you for being part of this next phase.
